DOMAINE JAUME

The Jaume Estate is located in Vinsobres and celebrated its centenary in 2005. The story started with Henri Chauvet, creator of an original recipe for "croquettes", who was more interested in vines than cooking. He met baron Leroy and fought to bring Vinsobres in to the AOC system. It was Chauvet's son in law that started the estate, allowing his son Claude to raise some of the best wines during the sixties. Grandsons Pascal and Richard succeeded Claude in the eighties after completing wine studies in Beaune. Vinsobres currently carries the 'cru' appellation.
